Elena Piech, from Ithaca College’s Class of 2019, reported and produced an investigative series with WRFI Community Radio in Ithaca, New York. The radio series covered issues concerning loneliness and suicide in Tompkins County. The radio series recently won a New York State Broadcast Award for Outstanding Public Affairs Program.
With funding from the Park Center for Independent Media, Piech previously interned for WRFI during the summer of 2017.
