Elena Piech is a Journalism major at Ithaca College (Class of 2019). She has been involved with the Park Center for Independent Media since her freshman year. Two summers ago, she interned with WRFI Community Radio in Ithaca, whose news staff offers in-depth looks at issues such as food insecurity, housing policy, and environmental change at the local level.
While interning at WRFI, Elena delved into environmental action pertaining to Cayuga Lake, and created content for their news review show. You can listen to WRFI’s award-winning series, The Loneliness Project, on their website.
